You are warmly invited to join us at any and all of our services over the Easter weekend, when we will be led by Majors Melvyn and Kathleen Jones. Friday 25th March 11.00am – Good Friday Walk of Witness, starting at the Centenary Methodist Church on Red Lion Street and finishing at St Botolph’s (Boston Stump). 7.00pm – Good Friday service at The Salvation Army on High Street Sunday 27th March 10.30am – Family service ‘Looking at the Lord’. 6.15pm – Evening service ‘Looking at the Resurrection’.

YP Anniversary

YP Anniversary

This weekend we celebrated our Young People’s Anniversary. On Saturday the Sunday school met for their party – we filled the main hall with 2 bouncy castles and enjoyed a few hours of bouncing fun alongside other games and a traditional pass the parcel. The children and YP workers took charge of both meetings on Sunday. Our theme verse, Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart” was explored in many ways. This year The Salvation Army in Boston has once again been able to provide food and toy parcels and a Christmas Day dinner to those who need them. While it is sad that we cannot prevent poverty or loneliness in our town, we are truly grateful that we are able to do something towards making this time of year slightly easier for people through our work. It will remain in the memory of several people both in Boston Songsters and those we ministered to. Let me start at the beginning.
